Horse Riding in the Blue Mountains
This wonderful riding school has horses for all ages and levels of experience. Situated in the Megalong Valley you can choose a number of different rides. Whether you are after an 1 hours or an overnight camp this is a great place to start your adventure.
Day rides start at 9am then you head to a creek for morning tea, ride some more then lunch before further afternoon riding. Prices are very reasonable $190 pp including lunch and helmets.
For the kids there's Pony rides, led by guides. The guides will explain to the child how to hold the reins. This is a building block to the 1 hour ride. Parents and grandparents are more than welcome to walk or ride along with the children. 5 minutes $6.60 per person or:
10 minutes $15.00 per person
20 minutes $33.00 per person
30 minutes $42.00 per person
For adults you can choose from 1 hr to 4 hours rides depending upon experience.
With any hotel booking we will book your horse riding adventure ahead of your arrival. Just let us know your requirements.
At special times of the year there is also a Historic Ride which takes in a few colonial hotels and a number of convict built retaining walls and other relics from the colonial past.
Royal Coast Walks
With any hotel booking we will gladly organise a great Royal National Park Tour guide. Often in small groups of five you can hike, birdwatch and even kayak in some of Sydney's best national parks. The company who organises the tours are endorsed by the NSW Tourism office.
All Royal Coast Walks’ tours depart from Cronulla on the 8:30am ferry to Bundeena, unless advised otherwise.
Royal Coast Walks‘ Kookaburra Tour is an overnight hiking and camping adventure through the Royal National Park, starting with a ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena, then walking along the coast track to Otford.
Single day tours, such as the Wallaby and Whale Watching tours, follow a specific route before returning to Bundeena and then Cronulla.
For day tours:
• 3 litres of water (if Summer/Spring)
• Sunscreen, insect repellent
• Rain jacket or poncho
• Towel and swimmers (Summer/Spring)
• Camera
For overnight tours:
You will need to bring, and carry:
• 3 litres of water (refilled overnight)
• Personal toiletries
• Sunscreen, insect repellent
• Warm clothes for the evening (open fires are not permitted in the RNP, we have kerosene heaters)
• Rain jacket or poncho
• Change of clothes as required
• Towel and swimmers
• Camera
Prices: 1 day bush walking $A149 per person-Wallaby Tour
Overnight: 2 day 1 overnight camping and hiking $399- Kookaburra Tour.
We can also organise any kayaking or rock climbing.
