Glebe Markets

Probably one of the largest in Sydney. Glebe is situated on the outskirts of the city fringe. 10 Minutes on any bus. You’ll find a number of innovative designs in Tshirts and ceramic, jewellery, clothing both new and recycled. Often live music, this market is favoured by a young crowd at the University is close by and Glebe is frequented by students for its book shops and cafes.

Balmain markets

Great place to head for some lunch or snacks from around the globe. In addition to the interesting stallholders, there’s a wonderful selection of food stalls. Situated in the grounds of an old Church, you’ll also find some great local busking acts. The area of Balmain has some of Sydney’s oldest cottages and is a lovely area to just walk around and discover more about this historic Sydney suburb.
Operates 10am to 4pm every Saturday (weather permitting).

Best accessed by Bus as not supported by Trains.

Paddington Markets

Would you believe a number of popular Aussie fashion designers such as Zimmerman and Sass and Bide started at Paddington markets. This is a great stomping ground for new talent and there are ‘quality’ products on offer. Browse interesting Fashion, jewellery, food, children’s clothes and household items. Held once a week (Saturday) come rain or shine (there’s an undercover area). Paddington is a must for first-time Sydney visitors. Afterwards, stroll Oxford Street for even more shopping, but perhaps not as much fun as the markets!

Designer Bargains at Birkenhead Point

This is a little way from the city centre but worth a visit for designer bargain, particularly great Australian brands like Oroton and Bonds, Alannah Hill and the David Jones outlet.
